Welcome to Sonnet Montessori & Child Care
More than a child care center, Sonnet is a family. Our top priority is your child’s safety, as well as their educational and practical life readiness, as our top priorities.
Sonnet Montessori School & Child Care is conveniently located in the south metro cities of Lakeville and Prior Lake, Minnesota.
Sonnet is proud to be a family owned and community-based. We are passionate about providing parents, just like us, the opportunity to place their children in a safe and loving environment where their innate curiosity, love for learning and unique gifts are nurtured. We treasure the relationships we have built with families across our community over the years and thank you for the opportunity to care for your most precious gift: your children.
~ The Sonnet Family
I want to thank so much for the incredible support Sonnet has been to our family. We also had a little girl who refused to write back in September, who now can write all her numbers 1-10 and can read short vowel words! You and your staff are amazing, and we are grateful.

Our youngest daughter Kylee Boone had only been attending Sonnet for one school year. Over that year, we noticed dramatic changes in her writing, reading and speech. Not to mention her quick understanding of Math and Geography. Sonnet has more then prepared Kylee with a great first step towards her first year in kindergarten. Thanks Sonnet!

Health & Safety: Our Response to COVID-19
Health & safety is our top priority for the children, their families and our teachers. Here is how we are responding to the pandemic.
All people entering the building must immediately wash their hands.
Temperature checks daily at drop off to ensure that unwell children do not infect their classmates
More stringent illness exclusion policies for children and teachers, following CDC and MDH guidance
Strict exclusion policy for families that have recently travelled to Level 3 & 2 countries and U.S. hot spots.
Teacher demonstrated, reinforced and monitored handwashing procedures
No groups exceeding ten children
Staggering drop off and pick up times to ensure social distancing is possible during a typically busy time of day.
Asking parents to drop off their children in the foyer vs. classroom
Daily laundering of nap comfort items: blankets, pillows and stuffed animals
Hourly disinfecting and sanitizing procedures throughout the building, with careful attention to “hot sptos” like door knobs, faucets, sinks, toilets, phones, etc.
Discontinuation of self-serve lunch and snack. Instead, teachers serve, following proper protocols for food service.
